Using nitrile gloves to handle resin and 91% isopropyl alcohol. When I dip my hand in the the IPA bath to pull my print out, my hand it’s wet through the glove. It doesn’t burn like I expect IPA to burn but something is permeating. I’ve immediately washed my hands after but now I am wondering if it’s the IPA permeating or the water. I don’t think it’s sweat because I feel it immediately.

HELP...HELP...HELP

I hope this finds the help I need....

I started my first print last night using the Photon-S that I bought in February of this year. Yep, as soon as they were released...

Excited to finally print my design that took "only" geeeeeezzzzzzzz five months...
Anyway, after only five hours of sleep I checked the progress...
NOTHING AT ALL
Not even residue of a failed print.

After several more attempts and re slicing the model... still nothing.
Even used different USB sticks.

I'm thinking it's less of a model problem and more printer issue.

The printer powers on...
The screen test shows the lighted rectangular image, so I beleive it's not the screen...
But the exterior touch screen is acting differently than some youtube videos I've watched during the run of a print.

After choosing PRINT on the touch screen, I see the Cube file that came with the printer and my file.
Both have the little picture in the square...
After selecting my (or either) file, it shows the image then in the full screen along with the DELETE, PRINT and BACK buttons.
After touching the PRINT, the printer then goes threw the motions of what I would expect to be printing...
BUT...
The preview or progress screen stays blank... Meaning, no image of the current layer being printed.
And I beleive it to be that if it's not showing the current layer being printed, then no layer is being printed... At all...
It does still show the STOP, PAUSE and BACK choices. I'm only saying that so as you know that screen still works...
I can't find any information on this issue.
The entire light screen does turn on with a dim glow during the time it should be printing but with no brighter image layer anywhere during a dry run with no tray.

I going to camp out now in front of this computer hoping that someone has dealt with this issue before.

I want to buy my first resin printer. I already own a fdm prusa mk2s so that would be my second printer.

I dunno between (or give me more options):
- elegoo mars (249€)
- photon (299€)
- epax x1 (499€)

I put the epax cause I know is a bigger volume, more stable z, dunno if is a must for a nice experience but price goes up.

the photon a lot of support and help here, nice price, nice printing quality, smaller printing area.

elego mars: is the cheapest. would be a nice entry in this world. I fear in the next months something really better will comes out in resin printer. so maybe it's a good choice to get the cheapest one (but rated like the photon they said)

oh boy, my Printer is making a really weird sound all of the sudden. Every time the Z moves down into the vat it suddenly sounds like a dying whale. Anyone know what this means? Should I just oil up the Z-rod after the print is over or does it mean something more dire? It's a really worrisome sound!

No sound when it moves up, only on the way down...

I’ve been printing the last few days with no issues but had a failed print this morning. When I went to clean out the cat, I inadvertently put a small hole on the FEP when I was trying to remove the failed prints that were stuck.

I checked to see if the puncture was clear through and indeed some IPA would leak through.

Is there any saving this FEP? (I’ve heard about using tape?) or should I just figure out how to replace the FEP.

Clearly I need to be much more careful when removing failed prints.

Looking for advice on exposure settings. I almost exclusively print miniatures and want to add a bit more durability to them so maybe weapons won't break as often.

I just got some Siraya Tenacious and plan to mix it in with Elegoo Grey when it arrives next week at a 1:4 ratio (20% Tenacious). I'm hoping someone else that has experience with Tenacious can chime in. How does it effect exposure settings? Should I start with the Elegoo Grey settings and adjust from there?

I plan to do my own testing and adjust as necessary, but I am hoping someone with experience can provide a baseline for me to start at so I'm not using up as much resin to failed prints and tests. Thanks in advance!
