Looking for help with supports. I've watched videos and done some research, but I can't seem to figure out if what I'm seeing is normal, or if there is some setting I'm not tweaking. Essentially, I get a ton of islands when slicing with Chitubox. Some are extremely obvious. For example, the barrel of the gun in the attached photo does not get an automated support generated no matter what setting I use. So my current flow is to slice in Chitubox, find spots myself, then run through the validator and then manually clean up what it can't do automatically. Am I making my life harder than it needs to be? Is this something that is just the way it works with minis? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hello all. I'm new to my Photon, just have 4 or 5 prints under my belt. I'm having an issue one of my parts. It's a essentially a half circle, with a round socket/hole in the bottom. When it prints, and it's done this twice, it is getting a flat spot on the bottom, that is outside of the print area ov the object. The flat spot is basically parallel to the bed, but it's raised off it by supports.

Any ideas? I'm just getting the hang of how to properly align my prints.

This is sliced using CtiTuBox. Anycubic Green. .05 layer heigth.

Question... I seem to be having more issues with Anycubic Grey resin then I did with the green resin that I received with my printer. I have carefully leveled multiple times and changed my exposure times but the prints will still not stick to the plate. I have also cleaned the plate and the ball. Would I just be better off with returning to green resin? Does this make a difference?

My photon arrived yesterday after getting it on the Amazon flash sale. Test came out fine.

Just got done with the demos from HeroForge. ?
I had noticed that the sliver like to elevate the whole model, even though minis tend to have a nice base on them.
Is there a way or setting [I am probably missing] to change that?

Any ideas what causes this.

The model appears perfectly in the slicer, but when printing any object it has these tissue paper like layers. I've tried a different USB stick but all my models have it and it's starting to stick to the base of the resin tank.

Help please?!?!

Question for the experts. Trying to convince the wife to let me get the Photon. What were worried about is environmental temperature and ventilation. I live in Missouri, so what do I need to keep the ambient temperature of the room at for optimal printing? Also, how do you guys ventilate the printer of resin fumes? I've seen like an adapter you can 3d print to attach a hose to? Also I've heard about carbon filters but I'm still alittle ignorant on those. Any advice, tips, help are appreciated. Feel free to spam me with links too, I really want to get my research down. Thanks in advance! Also any advice in slicing software, placing supports, leveling, or basically anything else in your wisdom is helpful.
