Is anyone familiar with technique of applying that condjctive chrome finish on plastic parts? Its widely used in cheap chinesse products like pencils and flashlights and usually have copper layer underneath...how its called?

Alright hivemind I need assistance please. I got the printer last week and have yet to get a successful print.

I just seem to be getting a cured layer in the bottom of the vat and nothing sticking to the plate.

Leveling seems fine, paper pulls out but not in. Everything is clean and neat, so what am I missing?

My quick an dirty UV curing chamber. A metal can from ravioli with about 2.5 m UV-LED stripe clued inside as a helix and a 12V wall power supply. Only 8 EUR of cost and 20 minutes work!

Has anyone ever had issues leveling their bed? Just received my photon a few days ago and have been struggling getting my first print. I am leveling out the Z with paper, z=0 but then when testing the home it doesn't zero and instead revert back to the previous position. The prints are just getting stuck to the film as shown below and not the build plate, could it be something else than the leveling?

So the Validator is doing this thing where its saying I have unsupported islands in the middle of supports. If I print straight from ChiTuBox the supports are fine. If I run it through the Validator the supports have missing sections. Anyone else have this issue or a solution?

Hi folks did you know it is actually impossible to print water clear resin with a 405nm printer? 385nm is the only wavelength that will print non yellowing waterclear resin. I wonder has anyone ever replaced the LED’s in their photon with a 385nm set?

I have a photon S, a form 2 and an Asiga’s max 385nm printer so I know how clear it can print. Just an interesting thought!

Alright lets have some real talk. I can't be the only guy out here that is nontechnical about this printing. I paint miniatures and I had a couple failed prints but just got lucky and figured it out and I don't mess with anything. Call me the simpleton in the group but half these post intimidate the hell out of me. I make a model, splice it and print it and usually its right on. I dump grey in with my left over green. I mix white with green. I make sure the FEP is not harboring any stuck residue at the bottom but I don't drain it. I have a 100% UV free work area and its vented and that's all I care about. So the point to my post, am I missing some amazing things by being a simpleton or is being naive the way to go if its working for me?
