So when starting my next project t earlier the z axis failed to move and the led/LCD started exposing the first layer immediately.
I stopped the print.
Cleared the vat of exposed resin and started print again.
2nd time of starting z axis moved but didn't go to home then z=0 it just ran right to the bottom and the motor kept running.
Switched machine off and back on, reset z=0 and it's printing fine again.

I've had the first part of the issue previously but cleani6 the vat and started again without issue.
The z axis issue I just had worried me more for fear of breaking the LCD etc.
Anyone else had this issue?
Running a stock photon as it came out of the box. Using the included usb but am aware of the issues with those so I'm ordering a replacement
Purchased just after Xmas and other than this works fine.

Any ideas/suggestions?

my LED screen went out for the first time after about 5 or 6 liters of resin and while trying to replace the screen I broke the glass underneath the LCD screen...

I used a heat gun for several minutes to try and help release the adhesive and it was still stuck in there incredibly well. Anyone have a link to purchase a replacement or is there anything special about the glass? I could probably just get a piece cut to size locally.

Hey, I printed 3 same parts on the buildplate, with 0,05 layer, and after cleaning, i saw that all 3 have all a different pattern of the layers... how is this possible, and how can i improve it to get much less visibel layers?

What is everyones go-to clear resin? And where are you getting it?

I am going to be needing a bottle of resin in the next couple days as I’ve almost gone through the 500ml of dental castable that came with my Photon. I was thinking of getting some clear resin and was just going to stick with Anycubic. But can’t find it on Amazon, the only clear resin I found was Monoprice. From what I’ve heard it yellows a fair bit.

Sculpted this guy in Zbrush and made a newb mistake. I had the poly count too high so I can’t load it into the slicer. Currently waiting for the decimation function to finish so I can slice and print.
