Hi guys.

I've been hovering over the buy button for the Anycubic Photon but not sure if it will cater to my needs. I'm happy with the build plate size etc, it's large enough for my prints, my biggest concern is that the prints will be too brittle for the mods I'm intending to make. What are your thoughts on printing the attached piece which has a thickness of around 6mm? Given that the gearshifter will be whacking in and out of the slots, do you think the resin will withstand such a procedure?

Currently printing with PLA but the finish just isn't there for me.

Appreciate your expertise before making my decision.

Well that's the end of the 250ml bottle that came with the printer. Every print has been perfect so far, including the full plate that only had this remaining in the vat.

Guess it's time to clean up, order more resin and wait

Loving the posts and comments here. Need to tap into the great minds here. Recently been having my prints not stuck to the build plate. I went thru all the checks and troubleshooting tips. I think it’s time to change the FEP film. Only been printing since Christmas. What’s the average life on these? Any other possible causes?

Any ideas what happened here? These are two consecutive, separate prints, first one on the right. These are the bottom base layers. The printed object itself turned out fine.

I am having trouble with my photon since I bought it, the test cube printed perfect, then I did a few tries which failed because of bad support placement (my wrong), I had one or 2 success, but now I cant seem to get anything to print, I have bought different resin (anycubic aqua blue, maroon and transparent), I tried the calibration test and I failed getting anything usable.
I tried reprinting the files I could print in the beginning, with the same resin, and I get nothing exept the base layers and small nubs where supports go.

Even with 20 seconds per layer at 0.025 I dont get anything, the base at 100seconds gets printed more or less but thats it... is it possible the uv light is slowly dying ?

I am getting really frustrated.

I'm so frustrated trying to add supports manually. I can clearly see the island - but the damn software (ChiTuBox in this case) refuses to let me add the f'ing support. I click click click and nothing happens!
