(quick calibration test model)

Quick test for Z wobble, or other surface anomalies.
Can be used for dimensional accuracy tweaking.
Quick 2 hour print, 0.05 layers, standard settings for anycubic green.
Other resins or layer heights, times will vary.
Saves on resin too!

Print flat to build plate, no supports.
Do not scale! Do not rotate!

Base is 30mm diameter.
Walls are 20mm x 20mm.
Needle is 4mm, 2mm, 1mm.

Bonus! Check tolerances for parts that need to fit together, pegs, etc. Print both together!

Here's another print! Took about 5 hours and then I sprayed a little grey plastic model primer on him after curing in the sun a bit. I sculpted this guy years ago and he was quite a mess geometry-wise but I got him workable.

I'm really blown away by this printer. I have barely fussed with it and am getting pretty amazing results. I even forgot to stir/shake the resin for my first two prints and they came out fine. If any model was not going to print, it would have been this pirate guy. It had all kinds of issues but the Photon plowed through it anyway. This model was difficult to setup... I had to learn what should be supported. The next one will go much faster I think.

As far as the printer goes, I was expecting a lot more fuss at the price... like I was totally prepared to have the build plate machined and maybe buy another screen. We'll see how long things last but it seems pretty damn amazing for now.

Hey guys.. Having so issues.. Trying to print some 30mm bases.. I orient then flat to the plate, but they just come out all squashed, using supports or not. . Flip them onto their side, add some supports and they print just fine (stock settings). Anyone had this before?

Going to sound a bit of a silly question but iv been reading that different colours of resin take different setting? Is there a colour resin that gives better results than any other colour and is there any colour to stay away from. Sorry again for the stupid sounding question.iv been looking to get the photon for a while.i already have the i3 mega and it's been amazing.thanks
