Photon Workshop.

Just upgraded from a standard photon where I've been using the old anycubic slicer.

In that if i want to rotate the model, I can simply hold the right mouse button and the model rotates.

It doesn't do this in Photon workshop?
I've tried every key combination i can think of but I just *can't* seem to be able to rotate the model without using the pop out menu.

Surely I'm being daft and it's a standard feature?
Can someone please enlighten me?

(And please don't just say "chitubox" because it's incompatible with my graphics card, I'd love to use it, but currently can't, so I am stuck with what I've got! Thanks)

Hi everyone, hoping you can help.
Having a very strange problem with a few of my prints.
I’m getting holes running most of the way through the print in 2-3 areas of the print.

I say most of the way through because the bottom layers don’t have it.

It also seems to be happening on different parts of the print.

If it was all the way through, and consistently in the same place I’d guess at dead pixels, but it’s different places and not all the way through. It’s also not happening on every print which is even more perplexing ?‍♂️ .

Forgot to take a picture of the firmware version, but the printer was bought new in November 2018 and never had an update

Anyone know when Anycubic Grey resin will be back in stock? it seems to have been out of stock everwhere I look for weeks ?

Looking to buy an extra VAT to make changeover time more efficient & easier to change resins more easily if i want for my Photon.

So i looked at buying a second vat and it's £42 on amazon (or £35.99 for what looks like a 3rd party one)
Or it's £30 on ebay.

Then i noticed the ELEGOO mars vats, there's a 2 pack which comes with extra FEP sheets as spares, and there's actually TWO vats.
It says it's compatible with the Photon.

Anyone using these with their photon?
Seems like a good deal if it works just as well as the original? Would be great to know if it fits and if I can just seamlessly add these two into rotation with my standard vat?

I'm down to my last FEP sheet,
so looking to buy more,
they were £7.99 for the anycubic ones, now gone up to £9.99!

Anyone use any other brands in the UK they can recommend? I don't mind cutting down a larger sheet,
just a bit miffed the price has risen by £2 of the official one (on amazon)

This may have been answered before,

But I'm sitting here waiting an AGE for this slicer to complete so I thought I have the time so why not ask the question.

What is the slicer using to slice?

is it using the Processor or the Graphics card?

I'm on a fairly old Mac Pro, but it's still got an incredibly powerful processor in it, but the graphics card in this machine is really terrible.

Should i be slicing with my PC which has a much more powerful GPU?

Or is the slicer just not fast and I have to deal with it.

I use Cura 4.1 for slicing FDM prints and it whizzes through in literally seconds, even on prints that are 24 hours plus it slices in a couple of minutes.

I estimate the print in the attached screenshot will take around 4 hours to print, and so far it's taken 45 minutes just to slice... it's infuriating!

***EDIT***
Can't get Chitubox to work on my mac, it loads but then screen goes crazy!

Anyone here a warhammer fan?

I found a couple of 28mm adepta sororitas/sisters of battle and scaled them up to fit the old 54mm game inquisitor and I love the results!

(models from thingiverse, just search "lady of war" by jimsbeanz)

REALLY pleased with how this has come out!
did a couple of different orientations, and chose 2 copies each of 3 different designs to see what would work best, and out of all 6, 5 came out virtually error free!

I am overjoyed by this! Can't wait to print some more!!

First time printing with the Anycubic Grey Resin.

120s base layers (8)
14s normal (1s off)
printed at 0.03mm resolution.

Took around 8.5 hours and was around 1550 layers.
