Drivebelt....Elegloo Translucent Red & Monocure mix.... comes out Uber flexi!!!

(Will make note to ensure FEP screws are fully tightened next time... one came loose & now have pin hole in the FEP film which leaked stuff onto LCD during print...but screen was saved to fight another day.....phew!!!! ?‍♂️ ? )

Always good to challenge the Anycubic Z axis on a VERY tall print (long too..28hrs)...& very glad I upgraded Z axis for accuracy also!

My first ever print with Elegloo Translucent Red ....& because I'm live in England it has to be Big Ben ?

For the newbies out there...or for anyone who wants to make that bottle of IPA go a bit farther......
You could invest in a cheap small bottle spray gun
Found this one lying around unused in the garage so pressed it into service & works ok on the vat, build plate or screen.
However safety first; always use IPA in a well-ventilated area in whatever form as it is highly flammable. ?

Finally worked out a nice flexi-resin-resin mixture to give myself...a grey bendy I/O switch door! ▶️
Anycubic Grey & Monocure Flex about a 60/40% blend (i think)
Just need to watch how long you stick it under the UV cure box for...previous one was in it for too long & went hard!!! ?

Latest print..Mutoscope (steampunk heaven)
The original 3D model had to be recovered in from 2 CAD packages for starters...then supports for items like the handle & viewing shrowd was a real leap of faith! ? ?
Came out in one piece & with the detail intact.

Plus as a bonus here is the model in its original setting in an Autodesk Showcase movie demo I did back in 2015

New Z axis upgrade installed ?
Time: 30mins
Something I've spotted & maybe others too, but the thick hardboard packing pieces at each end of upgrade z axis packing box are just about the right size to protect the LCD screen during installation as an alternative to the 11x17cm cardboard protection.
