For those who model your own stuff: what do you recommend for modeling an existing person for a beginner? Trying to do one based on a specific athlete for a friend and I have a slight idea but would like help streamlining it

First print and well impressed how they turned out. Not looking forward to painting them though

Resin curing question. Larger prints that I hollow out to save on resin, obviously I have holes in so there isn't trapped liquid inside. But lets say I have the walls set for 2mm thick. When the print is done, and cleaned off, and I go and put it out in the sun, I'm thinking the light does not really penetrate the surface much at all. Unless I'm using a semi-transparent resin like the green stuff it came with. So really, from what I am thinking, only so much of the surface is actually getting UV light so I'm guessing that, maybe most, of the 2mm thick walls really isn't curing at all. I mean it is as hardened as the printer itself made the walls, but it didn't finish curing like the outer most parts of the print.

My question is, what is too thin to have any durability, but what is too thick to actually make any strength difference without wasting too much resin? I'm kinda guessing 2mm. 1mm seems to be kind of thin and easily breakable, and 3mm seems to use a lot of resin. Just kinda looking for that happy medium of durable but not wasteful of material.

So my Photon showed up last night and I set it up (resin is still in transit...) to find it is Photon original and not a faux Photon. That being said should I upgrade the firmware to the new version? Also I remember seeing something about putting ArmorAll on the fep to make the resin stick less. Does anyone do anything like that?

Hey guys, I did this book stand for the spellbook. But I printed it in a wrong scale also I printed a smaller version of the book (0.03 layer high). I'm really impressed how the details came out, I need to spend some time learning how to place the supports in the right spot. I've been using auto supports so far and some parts of my printings are falling in the Vat. If you guys want to try it out, here is the link for the book stand that you can download for free: https://gumroad.com/l/wzqq Cheers 翻譯年糕

So this is the result of my 18 hour print. The best face is the bottom end (wrt printing position) which is nearly perfect. The 'good' side has lots of scarring from poorly placed supports and what looks like chunks spalled out where the supports were too close. The bad side has no spalling but is heavuly scarred. The bad end shows how I've been having issues with pooling on flattish surfaces under the print bed.

3rd attempt to print this part. This time supports were done in Anycubic's software and not Chitubox (because I am having difficulties running it - should be fixed next week). 1st attempt with Elegoo Grey. 0.05 layer, 11 on, 5 off. 10 base, 100 sec. Still there are a number of issues that I've highlighted in the pictures. Any guidance appreciated!
