Dumb question and maybe its because I'm a noob. I have used numerous colors and gotten logos embedded on the sides of objects I printed, but on the clear it does print any features (logo or the XYZ on the calibration cube). Is it just me or is the clear just harder to nail down?

Suggestions for Resins that are more forgiving for DND Minis. I have a couple of swordsmen that have had their blades removed by a nasty fall LOL. I am using Elegoo Grey and it is very similar to AC Grey. Maybe I am over exposing but the prints come out great.

I read the Suriya tennacious and ELE grey 30/70 mix was pretty good. Any other suggestions?

Long time listener, first time caller. I am a prop maker in the entertainment industry. I am trying to make a miniature pint glass that is transparent. I have referenced the google spreadsheet for how best to print with the anycubic clear. I have not used IPA to clean and just used soapy water. Then I have sanded to about 2000 grit. I have also tried coating with a clear UV protectant aerosol spray to prevent discoloration. I am struggling with 2 separate issues here. One is the transparency of the print, the second is the yellowing. I have kept them out of sunlight. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance hive mind.

What has 2 thumbs and just scored a photon (perfectly good return, including all extras and sample resin) for $120?

Hello fellow Photonsters! After 4 failed attempts on my first try, I found out about the Flint Read method and gave it a go. I was finally able to get it to stick to the build plate and got these mini Benchies.

Question: Following the instructions, I can’t seem to get the plate to go any lower. It seems to stop to a point (the grunt sound on the video) but the plate could still rotate.

I just took a chance, tighten the screw and hit print which resulted these mini Benchies which I think came out pretty well.

Any thoughts?

*Sorry for the dim lighting*

Every time I try to print I get the same results...

My print always sticks to the resin tray and never completes. I am using the Anycubic Photon S.

I have done the following:
-shaken the bottle of resin (I’m using Anycubic black resin)
-leveled the build platform
-cleaned the build plate

Does this mean I should lower my Z=0 spot? If so, where should I make it?

Newbie issues! Just got the S. Set up and the initial print was just a partial base of the cube, then nothing. Releveled the base and made a tighter Z=0. Second print was not 3d, only flat and left residue on FEP. I know the FEP is shot. What am I doing wrong?

Hooked an oscilloscope up to the serial port on the Photon S. With the FTDI adapter and 12V on there is a ton of electrical noise. Without the FTDI adapter there is no noise on serial port. It is not debug info. Most likely the Photon S and my computer's power supplies do not like each other. My guess is the firmware has setup the port at 500,000 baud and to just echo everything. Nothing is writing to it and nothing is reading to it.

Since sanding my build plate flat I've had to reduce the bottom layer exposure from 55 seconds to 40 seconds and it seems like I could go even lower and still get better adhesion than before I sanded it. Before reducing the time I had to use a razor blade to lift an edge to get the spatula under it. At 40 seconds I can do this with just the spatula but it's still stuck much better than it was before.

Had anyone else had to do this after sanding the build plate?
