Need to reset the Z=0 becaause the plate was too far away so the first layers weren't sticking to the plate.

However, I can't seem to do this. I can move the build plate fine, and all the buttons work - except the button to say "yes" when it asks for confirmation if I would like to reset the Z=0.

Any advice? Everything else on the touch screen seem to be working fine and responds to me pressing it except the popup for "yes".

Update: I removed the silvery flap. Prints are back to normal now. It was displacing the light it seemed.

Just replaced the lcd on my Epax x1, different printer but ideally the same parts and technique.

On the back of the LCD, there is a flap of a silver (almost textured) material attached where the cable attaches to the screen. Underneath is a nice mirror finished part. Do I remove the silvery flap to expose the mirrored area?

well crap... my first print directly on the build plate.. no supports.. and it gets mega stuck on the plate.

after about 20 minutes of washing it with IPA and prying at it.. I get it off.. but it took a couple chunks of the build plate with it.. time for a replacement build plate.

I saw some mods about adding rails for the z axis and i probably going to try one. Anyone found/changed the leadscrew to a ballscrew? Anyone tried a different motor with attached gearbox 5to1 for example for higher precision??Does it worth it?
