Hi, I’m getting my printer on Sunday and I was making sure I have everything ready to go.

As for post processing, is 91% isopropyl alcohol okay to use or is 99% better to use? Thank you!

Does anyone know what the part is called or if I can source the small black plastic clip thing that holds the LCD ribbon cable to the contacts is?

I was repairing the z-axis and the black clip fell off the connector ribbon. Now we can't find it. It doesn't seem to be in the printer anywhere that we can see and we can't find it on the workbench or floor.

I'm getting a weird problem -- in chitubox my supports are clearly visible underneath my prints but in the finished print the pieces all touch right up again the bottom raft.

Any idea what could cause this? I'm using 5 bottom layers at 0.02 layer height.

Does anyone know of an easy way to create a shell of just external polygons and delete all internal geometry? Someone sent me something to print but it’s about 300 individual components and I’m not sure I have the patience to Boolean union them all!

Just got my Photon this week, using the included green resin. The lattice cube printed flawlessly. Every print after that has been not so great. Printed a mini bust and it almost fell off the build plate but survived. Next print was another one and it fell off early in the print and came out as a disk in the vat. Just leveled the build plate and am currently trying a different print with higher base layer exposure times. Currently waiting to see if the print is still attached. Feeling very struck down currently.

Hi guys I need a little help! I got my first 3d printer ever (anycubic photon) in October of last year and I'm ashamed to say I haven't used it once. I got as far as leveling the plate so please dont judge me. I joined the group after making my purchase and after seeing all the problems everyone seems to have printing, it intimidated me from even trying to use it. ??‍♀️

I have everything I need to use the printer, photon slicer program and I have the validator program as well. I've also downloaded an .stl file I want to print which I edited in cinema 4d to remove the bust part of the model I only wanted the head.

* I've also attached a screenshot of my edited .stl file in the photon slicer just for reference.

I think I have read myself into so many circles that I am over thinking the entire process but Im concerned about a few things.

1. What is the best way to position the model and place supports?

2. Im using the resin the printer came with (anycubic green) what are the best settings?

I realize these are newb questions and I have searched a lot on here but every model requires a different print setup to turn out properly and I just want to make sure I have a successful print. Any help is greatly appreciated.
