Print #2.
Both the first and second prints gave me no problems and the printer exceeds expectations.
This was designed in solidworks and was printed with the large diameter underside against the build plate.

Having issues with the printer recently. I printed a small model on the very right corner of the build plate and started having a thin layer of cured resin (round) 1 1/2 in. diamater at the center of my FEP.

Is this an LCD issue or the UV light?

Hey I made my first print today and I am really happy with this printer. There were a few small issues but I am very happy. But I wanted to share a tip. I got a spray bottle from the hardware store for about $1. I filled it up with IPA ( 90% Isopropyl Alcohol), and to clean the vat I placed the vat above a plastic container are just sprayed it with the sprayer, using a fairly powerful stream. It rinsed ALL of the resin very effectively with no danger of scratching the FEP film. This technique is really good and I plan to re-use the IPA by low-temperature distillation somehow, I'll share those tips when I get it ironed out. Spray bottle is your friend !! Peace :D

Perhaps someone can explain to me why I should buy one of these? All I see are problems with printing. I want to model not figure out how to print. It seems like its not ready for prime time.

I saw something about an additive the makes the resin more flexible can I get more details on that? Also any tips for getting rid of the supports without leaving pit marks? .2mm support tips also dont seem to stay connected to the model it's supposed to be supporting, advice? lastly, I check each support rod to make sure it doesnt go through the model and remove any that do but some that aren't touching pre-slice end up touching post print, how can I fix that if at all?

OK! Today marks a week since I received my Photon-s. I have put it through its paces, running pretty much night and day. I went through nearly a liter and a half of resin and a pickup truck load of paper towels lol. I have really enjoyed learning and experimenting with the whole process. The more I get into it, the more I realize just how little I know about it. I have had failures, all of them were user error. The Photon-s has been a printing beast. I could moan about things that could be better on the -s, but I won't. I'm very pleased so far. I have absolutely no regrets getting this printer. These are the makes from this 1st week.
