Print lines... We were looking at the anycubic photon to print masters for our miniature company. But the sample prints we got all had print lines. We need a resolution that is largely indistinguishable from if you bought a figure from your local game store (a small amount of detail is lost in the casting process, but a finger print in the clay of a clay master will show up in the final print)
. Is this an issue that is resolvable, or do we need to go up to a more expensive printer?

How tight should the FEP film be? I just replaced mine and it's nice and drum tight, however now my prints are noticeably louder when unsticking from the film, and the bottom of the film is suctioning more to the LCD screen below. I didn't tighten the vat screws all the way because it seemed tight enough. Should it be tighter? Looser?

-Total 6 piece input.
-3 piece output with hole at left side.
-1 row (3 piece) missing.
-I think this is FEP film issue.

*** video in comments ***

I've read a blog/page somewhere recently where a guy build an ultrasonic knife for removing supports using a "cheap" $80/£60 ultrasonic dental probe .

Don't bother with $/£ expense and find a cheap/2nd hand ultrasonic/sonic toothbrush.

If you 2+ more different brush heads you've then got an ultrasonic brush for removing resin from prints and also an ultrasonic knife!

Just a little shaving and super glue!

Great for cutting through supports and doing very small detailed work - I also went with a very small scalpel blade.

I worked with Anycubic support to find out where the issue was with Amazon sending Castable green instead of basic. Once it was figured out, Anycubic ordered me four replacement bottles of basic green, very nice of them!

Amazon sent four bottles of Castable. Lol! Guess I can swim in Castable resin now. I'm at least getting good prints out of it now, they just take longer.

Still organising work space to accommodate Photon...

If I level the bed and then print... Do I remove the print bed to remove the printed object? Does this mean I've got to level it again once I put it back in?

Did you guys ever try this to *know* the settings, instead of *guessing*?
I'm going to try that with my different resins

Hello printers!
I have a question about a setting for the exposure time of the first layers. So as far as I know you set the duration of exposure for the first few layers, then the exposure is shortened for all following layers.
Now, I have seen numerous posts on here by people who have printed their parts directly on the build plate, without supports, mentioning a clearly visible border of where the switch from long to short exposure happened. Mostly the suggested solution for this is to print with supports and the part lifted off the bed. But I have another idea and would like to know if you think it could work or if it may even already be implemented in some slicers.
In Slicers like Cura for FDM printing, print speed can be gradually increased from a slow speed at the first layer to faster speeds thereafter. I wonder if a similar approach would also help with DLP printers like the photon. Choosing long exposure for the first one or two layers and then a gradual decrease until the following short duration is reached. For example:
Layer 1 - 50s, 2 - 50s, 3 - 40s, 4 - 30s, 5 - 20s, 6 - 10s... n - 6s
Do you guys think this could work? Is this already a function that I can find in some slicers? Am I trying to reinvent the wheel and making a fool of myself? I'd very much value all your input.
Thanks a lot :)
