Ive had my printer for about 3 months now. Still havent used it because i have too many FDM projects going on ? ... didnt even print the calibration print. But i am enjoying everything on this page!

Quick question: I’m pretty new to 3D printing in general, what’s the learning curve on the Photon? The stuff ive read says that they take a lot of work and maintenance and clean up. What’s your all’s take?

I wash my parts in an IPA bath for 30 to 60 seconds, wait until parts are dry and place parts under UV lamp. Parts are a bit tacky even after a long time under the UV lamp. What am I doing wrong here?

Just doing some work on a Coal Loader project in HO Scale. And thought that I would see how some I beams on footings would work in the Anycubic Photon. And to my surprise they came out very nicely indeed. The front beams have been undercoated, and the rear ones are raw from the printer. They were done in Phrozen Black Rock, and the beams are 0.5 mm thick in the web and sides.

I just got my Photon S, and saw that the newest firmware is V5.00. Do you think I need to upgrade to this firmware ? Does Chitubox or Formware 3D Slicer support this newest firmware ? Or Should I stick to V.2.9.9 ?

Man what a process. From anycubic to polished silver jewelry.

I printed this out in anycubics black resin.

Made a liquacast rtx mold.

Injection wax into the mold using an eBay wax injector and faredom injection blue wax.

EBay electric kiln for wax burn out.

Omega star plus investment powder.

Sterling silver in an eBay melting furnace with a touch of borax.

Rolling in a tumbler for 30 mins with a touch of roll gleam and stainless steel shot and distilled water.

Polished it with dialux yellow white and red, then silvo on a rag.

The part that really let's it down is the polish phase which I need to improve.

Edit: I've had another go at polishing today after son suggestions.

The lines in the print are from excessive air vents cut into the mold and a couple of bastard file slips, but it's hard to see in the photo how much brighter and more it shines as it does in real life.

Hey group. Just wondering about I’ve lights and curing as I always seem to be doing my prints in the middle of the night. Found someone local selling the linked UV lamp below. It says full spectrum 380-760nm.
Will this work? And any perceived downsides? The price is decent so I’m really interested but don’t want to get either a useless lamp or one that will ruin my prints.
