Hey guys! I’m really exited to show you all what I e been working on. I’m a bit obsessed with the creepy Garfield stuff and I’ve spent far too many hours making a diorama of one of the pictures. Hope you enjoy! Models printed on my Photon S.

Garfield is a custom creation of mine taking a BUNCH of models from thingiverse and slicing them together.

Jon is from thingiverse as well, but I manipulated his legs a little to make him standing a bit more evenly then the original file. I’m no master at 3D modeling, so I couldn’t figure out how to get the shotgun to be pointing up without kinda fucking over the model.

The base is face bases from kingdom death that i resin cast and made a really big one. Just kinda like the face bases so took some artistic liberties.

The wall is just brass wood glued together and broken to make look broken and stuff. Primed painted and washed to blend in with the rest of the diorama.

All in all I’ve put a good 60 hours into the customizing Garfield, printing, and painting!(I’ve got no idea what I’m doing I’m meshmixer so it probably shouldn’t have taken so long... but it did ? )

Once I get my printer back up and running, I have created a dead Odie model to print and I wanna put it on the back side of the wall behind Jon as well. ?‍♂️ ?

Ok guys, we talk about the temp of our build environments a lot here, some people insisit it is the best way to improve everything from build plate facing details to bed addhession.

Why don't we start reporting recorded temperatures for builds with the photos we supply, along with the resin type. Cheap themometers are plentiful, and if you don't intentionally heat your builds we can just use the ambient temp of the room the device is in.

This way we can start getting an impression of the acceptable ranges of temps, and if there is a best range we can design and print a parts list for PID controlled micro heating for our printers. (or just use old heaters on mininim that we got from Target pointed at the intake ;)

I've tightened up every possible thing and I'm still getting a squeal once the platform hits a certain height. I'm thinking about purchasing a replacement lead screw in an effort to resolve the issue. I'm having a lot of trouble locating one. Where you you folks look for replacement parts?

I definently dont like this green that comes with the printer for miniatures it's harder to see the detail with the transparency. Still good results though.
