Chitubox issue

I am trying to print a hollowed out sphere.

When I go to generate supports, everything looks great,

but if I go to xray mode I see supports INSIDE the hollowed out sphere.

is there a way to stop that ? I want the inside to be empty as this is transparent filament

So if people care to see how supports are done to minimize damage to the model, here is how I am doing Alvar the Dwarf Hero from Artisan's Guild. As you can see, heavy supports on the feet area, and one or two under the shield. The rest are light supports I place by hand. Also, I place supports far from the model and then use the "edit support" function to attach them to the delicate areas. On the most delicate areas I change the support contact depth to only .20mm and I change the contact width to .10mm, makes super thin supports, useless for most part but Ok on super small things like buttons...for instance in the 3rd picture look how tiny the support is on that button under his elbow! This comes out very very clean looking (have already printed it).

I'm the first to say I am still learning so if anyone with lots of expertise sees anything that could be done better here PLEASE advise, I am trying to help others but I'm still learning as well and if I can improve it I in any way I would be happy :)

I'm thinking about leaving the printer in the basement for printing, does anyone have any experiences with high humidity evironments and their printer? I'm not sure if there are any effects it would have. It would be low temp low sunlight exposure.

Had a thought after I didn't tighten down one side of the vat.

More expensive SLA printers have a peel mechanism, usually just tilting the vat as the bed peels away. Thus reducing peel forces.

With a little mod like hinging one side of the vat and a stop on the other to allow it to lift a little, it'd create the same kind of incremental peel a tilting vat has as the bed pulls away. Probably need to increase the lift distance a little, but that's the only software change I can think of, and the only hardware would be the two fingers the vat slides under being swapped out.

Obviously overfilling the vat would be an exceptionally bad idea with that setup. It *shouldn't* effect print accuracy if everything returns to its original position.

Good idea or waste of effort?

That scarf is so thin, no way an fdm would have managed. Turned out great.

Hey guys, just took delivery of a photon. Here’s my very first prints on it. The little Krang things were first. As you can see there is very fine horizontal lines on both of these. I was printing at 0.01 per layer with 7.5s exposure and 4.5s off. I set 8 base layers with 140s per layer just to be sure they would adhere to the build plate. Just used the stock photon slicer to add supports and slice.

Second print was a batch of teeny tiny starfighters with the same settings. These came out extremely well.

Resin being used on both is the anycubic green.

I’m running the stick firmware that came on my photon as I was too excited to set it up and test it out before changing any software on the device....

Anyone got some tips how I can avoid these horizontal lines on teeny tiny monsters?

Different orientation of the model, different resin, different settings, Install the AA firmware on my photon....?

Any help would be much appreciated. :)
