First print off the photon. Actually the second as the first benchy failed. This print working tells me that my bed is level but my first print was oriented incorrectly. It was a benchy oriented just how you would on an FDM printer. Am I incorrect in my line of thinking? Advice welcome. Love the atmosphere of this group btw!

Perfect first print using the photon file on the Anycubic USB stick. I’m ready to print myself the first parts of a carbon filter (to help dull the smell!) and it won’t recognise any USB sticks apart from the original, but even then, it doesn’t show the files that I have added. I can’t even do a firmware upgrade because it can’t see the files on any USB drive. I have wiggled the usb stick, taken the back off the printer and even tried plugging the usb drive directly into the mother board and still the same.

The stock USB just shows the original files - even though I deleted a few!

Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi guys. i would just like to ask for advice. are all these supports really necessary? coz even when i choose the platform support only button. chitubox still makes all these extra supports all around the model. what i know is supports are only meant for overhangs. should i take the extra ones off? Hey... I’m new here so forgive me if this has been answered before ?
My printer is on its way and I’m trying to figure out where to place it? I have a “shed” that is fully isolated but not heated... so when it’s sub 0 degrees out side it’s a stable 3-4 degrees inside...
Is that a too low temperature for the resin to work properly?
It was too low for my FDM printer... the heatbed was struggling... but I don’t want it inside because of the supposed resin smell...
What’s the optimal operating temperature for the printer?

This was an... Interesting failure.
I think its because I paused the print to inspect it and forgot to press start for a few hours.
At least I finally got the print to stick using the recommended levelling method.
Could this be a low resin issue? If so is it OK to add the anycubic grey resin to the green?

Hey All,

Just threw a couple more Things up on the 'Verse:

Both come out great on the Photon, in particular the XYZ reference in Monocure Blue with that slight transparency is an indispensable desk toy for me now. The Chamfers on the little screwdriver bit wrench also mean you can just run it off flat on the bed and the holes still work fine (at least with the Anycubic Clear and Monocure Blue I've printed them in so-far).
