;airbrush and a air compressor is all you technically need; however , you will want flow improver and airbrush thinner or distilled water.

Depends what your priming. If you are using it on tiny miniatures with a lot of detail; airbrush is your beat option . I use Vallejo primer. If you doing larger prints; I just use krylon spray primer

I'm the devil, and I use the cheapest Matt Black acrylic rattle can I can find. I have always done this with every model I have ever made, and it's worked out pretty good so far.

Ultra flat camouflage by krylon, that entire line is amazing for mini painting since I dont airbrush.

I usually use Krylon too unless I want to do a special color base coat, then I'll use Army Painter.

Depends on what you are painting in all honesty. Black primer for a more dark tone, grey for a muted tone or white for a brighter tone.
Black = Home Depot black 99 cent primer (matte)
Grey = Rust-oleum matte grey
White = Home Depot white 99 cent primer (matte)

. Spray about 9 to 12 inches away as not to overload the miniature/object. 2 light coats is better than 1 heavy coat.

And never, ever, use a gloss paint for a primer. You are just asking for headaches and heartaches...

If you are just going to use it to prime and base then a badger patriot is excellent. They about 100 bucks. You can get an air compressor for like 75-80. If you want to do detail then you will want something like an iwata eclipse (180). These are us
ually the top two starter brushes. I still have them. I’m only now looking into getting a steenbeck for ultra fine detail and iv been using an airbrush for 4 years . Airbrushing has a much bigger learning curve than brushes but once you start gettting the Hang of them; they looks so much cleaner. No brush strokes

I started this alien today. Still needs a lot of work but it’s almost all airbrush . Reason I show is cause ; it would of took me twice as long with Brush for this size of mode .

Halfords black matt is brilliant. Or grey. White is ok. Black or grey then hit with white from above gives you basic zenith highlighting
