Hey all. I've been getting decent prints but the last few attempts have had partial fails. Not worried as I can fix that. However, two brand new FEP sheets were wrecked because the failure seemingly cooked it to the screen to the point where I can't lift the vat off. I can't pull too hard cause I don't want to rip the screen out so I pull sideways. When it finally gives it rips a hole in the sheet or at lease dimples it making it unusable.

Anyone have this happen? There's not a hole in the sheet to cure resin to the bottom because it's brand new and the first one once I got it off it had a huge stretched spot but no holes. Second one I had a mess cause I ripped two holes straight through it trying to get it off.

Is it just creating that much suction to the screen?

I only have one FEP left!

Used to be able to print dice perfectly. Now I'm getting this bulge/rounded area in the seam that is parallel to the build plate. Any ideas? I supported the hell out of it and photon validator found no islands. Rest of die is perfect.

First pic shows bulge at right side, second pic shows at the top.

For those that use the Prusa method for auto-supports, I have a cool little update. Danny from this forum posted a great video on the process which can be found here:

I posted a comment about how I wished it offered the flared edge like Chitubox does to help get it off the build plate. Lo-and-behold, someone commented that you can!

Here's what he said...

"Not sure if this is what you mean, but go to: "Print Settings" tab at the top, then "Pad" in the left menu. Make sure that "Advanced"(yellow) is selected at the top right, and edit the "Pad wall slope" to the desired degree. I use 45° and it creates a slope that let's me remove the raft more easily."

I haven't tested it, but I'm about to now on my buddy christ! 翻譯年糕

Not an AnyCubic related post, but I know many of you use Patreon, and I'm hoping you can help me understand something. I've never used it before, but it seems like the model is setup to be able to support your favorite designers.

However, as I peruse the site, it seems like a lot of the Patreons have content locked unless you're a subscriber. I fully realize this isn't supposed to be a store, but how do I know I want to support someone if I don't know what they offer. Am I missing something here?

I'm looking to see if a few designers who have one or two items that caught my eye might have more to offer than I can see, and thus hopefully become a subscriber.

For those who use the Prusa slicer for orientation/supports and then import into Chitubox, have you found a way to provide a little lip around the raft that lets you lift the print off the bed like you can do in Chitu? I've found using this method that the prints get so stuck to the plate that I have lots of trouble getting them off. I miss the little lip that Chitubox provides.

Why is the EPAX1 firmware recommended over the AnyCubic firmware?

I was researching as I'm thinking about doing this but I'm nervous installing a firmware for a printer that it wasn't made for (or am I wrong about that?)
