No fault of the Photon’s, I didn’t add enough supports which is why I have warping and shrinking. But I just wanted to show that not all prints that aren’t perfect are trash.

The other day there was thread about what to use for joining resin pieces and repairs. I thought this would be a good example. Keep in mind I’m not fully done with the repair and it will get painted. Hopefully it’ll help someone out.

I used a dab of resin to join the 2 parts together and cured. Then I filled as much of the seams using a toothpick and old model paint brush, cured. The large gaps I used single ply paper towel and tissue paper and resin. I use an old brush to add layers and spread it out so it’s not quite so bulky.

I was having trouble with my z-axis and Anycubic sent me a new board. I swapped it out and the motor came to life. Updated the firmware and my screen went orange and black, and gave T100 error. Went and found older firmware, got rid of T100 error, but screen is still wonkey. Any ideas on how to get the blue back?

does CA glue not stick to resin prints? I put some CA glue on two parts a few hours ago and they are not yet stuck... It should take 10 to 15 seconds.. been a couple hours now.

My CA glue COULD be old however.

So after doing a successful test print, then the next 2 were fails. Both got stuck to the fep and not the platform. So I started to try to figure out what happen. The test print I had the room nice and warm but the next 2 were not warm and I'm thinking that was the problem. I know for a fact that the room temp was around 60F (maybe a little lower), so could that affect the outcome and would it have made them stick to the fep? Also on the failed ones I used the newer slicer software meant for AA but the printer is on 4.2.3 firmware, will that affect it as well? I'm a newb obviously so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone besides me, who is a hobbyist not a business, feel "guilty" when they print something non-sexy on their Photon? I just printed a set of dungeon doors (10 at one time) instead of figures to save time while my Ender is printing the door frames/floor tiles. I felt terrible not loading my plate with amazing minis....felt like I wasted my 3 hours of Photon awesomeness....
