Dear Photon Users. I had a broken Mainboard. The Z-Axis motor would not move anymore. After some investigation and measurements I found the problem Part was the A4998 Stepper Driver IC. I Desoldered it and just used the Part from a A4998 Driver from one of my FDM Printers and everything works perfectly again. See the photos:

Hey guys. Is it possible to use a Photon replacement Screen on a Photon S ? we decided to upgrade but still have a photon screen on stock and we don't want to repair the old photon anymore (the motherboard is gone)..

R.I.P. dear photon screen. I will replace it today - however the replacement screen has a silver foil on the bottom (its not removable - the backlight already is removed) and the old screen is black on the bottom. Any idea ?

Hey guys.. all of a sudden my prints are sticking to the plate so well that I need a hammer and scraper and a lot of force to hammer them down.. I sanded the plate many months ago but suddenly I barely can get anything off the plate :(

Resoldering the power supply again. Wanted to see the real current draw which is around 2.7A. Chinese power suppy ratings are just estimations... The original power supply breaks down whenever the lamp goes on

So today I had issues with my printer. The printer will always crash and reboot after a couple of minutes in the print (usually on the bottom layers). I tried another USB Stick and I could never make it past the bottom layers. So I opened up the power supply and resoldered all the sloppy solder joints and put it back together. Have been printing after that without any issues. Looking at the solder joints I wonder if there is any quality control on those ?
