I pulled the trigger and have a anycubic photon. It is still in the box and I won't have time to start using it until this weekend.

My question to you all is what things would you have done to get ready to use it? What suggestions would you give a novice photon user prior to even using one?

Has anyone else had problem with Photon Slicer suddenly starting use Japanese instead of English?

Or I guess switching language without you even opening the settings, doesnt have to be English to Japanese, Danish to Swahili or Dutch to Klingon would be relevant as well.

First print after the new machine....big failure

When it came out, it just had two kind of thin sticky areas on the FEP but no solid resin at all.
I tried this model;

I tightened the FEP per the youtube video and did my zero per the Flint Read method. I used the following settings and printed straight to the plate:

layer 0.05 Normal Exposure 10 Off Time 3 Bottom Exposure 70 Bottom Layers 10

and it really didn't look like it did anything. What am I missing? 翻譯年糕

Hello All. I thought i'd share this as I think some of you may be interested. i do allot of custom color blending of resins where my resin is exposed to ambient light for a good amount of time... I don't worry about that because my lighting is covered with these UV filters which prevents the wavelengths that react with the resins photoinitiators from passing through. So I've seen some pretty awesome models on this page but when linked I see these models priced pretty high sometimes. $40 for one. How do you all justify that? Do you just like the model that much? Not judging, just wondering.

I was a Patreon of a few creators before and I find that way more rewarding for both parties. I'd do that more but can't seem to find ones making the types of models I want (super heros). Since Patreon's search sucks, any suggestions?

Whelp.... it finally happened. I ran out of resin and lost my print. At least the 3 shorter pieces were complete so it wasnt a total loss. Still. Let me be a cautionary tale and make sure you check your levels!

I had replace the FEP yesterday cause it had some dimples in it and know nothing will stick to the build plate. I've re-leveled multiple time and played with the bottom layer exposure time and still nothing.

*** Thanks for help there was a protective film and O got it off.***

Hazaa..... a print stayed on the pate.

Consulting the Hive Mind. I have what could be best described as "watermarks" or Stains on the Surface of my Prints. Printed then Pre-rinsed in 99% IPA, Transferred to ultra sonic cleaner with 99% IPA and run for about 5 mins. Thoroughly Dried then UV cured. Stains are NOT White in nature so not IPA residue. Stains are present prior to UV curing after IPA drying and cannot be "Wiped off". Parts are never touched with bare hands until after UV curing. Stains are solely on the parts surface and are not internal to the part.
