so I learned something today. I tried printing something with a large flat surface and the print screwed up and got stuck to the plastic sheet.

I was just a bit overwhelmed as I'm new so I just left it sitting in the resin, stuck to the sheet, for 2 days as I sometimes just don't want to deal with things.

after 2 days the mis printed parts were totally loose from the sheet and just came right out. no problems. not sure if it would always work but easier than potentially damaging the sheet and having to change it :P

It's here, set up, plugged in, and leveled, and I'm anxious to print something. Installed slicer software, opened the PHOTON.photon project on the USB stick... and no object shows up in the slicer. (It does seem to be there in the LCDViewer window). Aargh!

Also, the default layer/exposure/etc settings don't seem to match the ranges recommended in the manual - what are good settings for the test print using the Anycubic green that comes with the printer?

How does UV light affect a cured and painted miniature? I had a plan to make some dungeon tiles painted with UV reactive paint to use during a game but now I am wondering if that will have an adverse effect on my resin printed minis. They will be cured and painted but I don't know if that will protect them or not. Opinions?

I installed the Physics Anonymous Z wobble kit. Here is the first test of the effectiveness. The first picture has pretty obvious horizontal lines/waves across the fender bulge on this model car. The second picture is with the PA kit. The lines are gone. The last picture is the assembled car ?

Verdict: substantial improvement for the kind of critical work I do. Fixing the surface flaws on the first part would be hours of work. The wobble on the stock printer isn't horrible, but the the modified printer is much better. Actually, when I leveled the the build plate after installing the kit, I immediately noticed that when tightening the grubb screw, the column didn't twist. Rock solid. This is good.

Hi and thanks for allowing me to join the group. I just got my photon and all was going well with getting it set up ready to print then on the 1st attempt to print the test cube it all went wrong. The front display and reading the USB work but that's all, the fans don't spin up, the LCD doesn't do anything on the exposure test and when I try to home or move the Z axis there's just a buzzing noise from the stepper motor. I uploaded the latest firmware to the machine but that didn't solve anything. Do ou have any suggestions on what to try to get it working or should I get in touch with Anycubic about getting a defective machine?
