I think this group should be renamed A. Photon Classic and there should be another group for the S model since they are two very different beasts, it would maybe help with the confusion that we see sometimes, just saying ;)

People told me that the learning curve on a Resin Printer is more difficult than a FDM printer, Well if you have a cheat sheet for the resins you’re using and play with cheap resin for a little, I definitely think is easier than a FDM Printer and this quality OMG ! I’m in love with the Anycubic Photon !

Just want to mention this here, since when I was worried about buying a Photon last year, because most of the posts in here was people having different troubles with the printer.

To start with, there is nothing special or anything hard about this pictured print. But this is printed today, after I had printed somewhere between 70-100 prints by bow, that where all atleast taking up half the build plate, and most of the time more than half the height of the print area.

Again, nothing particular interesting about that.
But the thing is, I have only leveled my printer 1 single time, back when I got it summer last year. I have never tightened my FEP or replaced it. I have done zero modding, and have not sanded my build plate.

I leveled my printer one time using flints method. And have only ever have nice prints, almost zero failures (a few where I didnt know how much support to add)

No z wobble, no leakage, no squeaking noises from Z-rod, no touch panel freezing, no LCD failures.

My only point with this post is. The Photon can totally be worth your money, if you are not sure, and it just isnt enough that people post the success. I love it, and I am totally aware that I just cursed myself, so that tommorow my printer will blow up and burn the House. But worth it ?

PS. I never touched a 3D printer before using the Photon, and it was very easy to learn

Hello Guys, been lurking around for some time and finally got my photon. Thing is I can't seem to nail the settings for the prints. Tried chitubox with standard settings for the photon, the ones from photonsters for the resin (anycubic green) and it has been printed directly on the bed without supports but I'm getting some heavy layer shifts which I think are due to allingment (realigned the bed three times already) and will test tomorrow again. The real question is that, as you can see in the pic, the top layers seem to be slightly wider and fuzzier than the rest and I don't know if this is caused by the same layer shifting or it is another thing I have to look into. Thanks for your feedback =)

Just done my first prints on my Photon S. they came out well but now I need to experiment with settings and different resins. I read that the Elegoo Grey comes highly recommended and is relatively low odour. It's specification says 7.1% shrinkage. How do people handle shrinkage?

Power outage in my neighborhood at the start of a print. When power domes back on will it automatically pick upwhere it left off or should I just restart the whole print?
