Hi all!

So I just got my Anycubic Photon (woot!) and it comes with yellow glass instead of the blue glass that I understood wasn't a UV filter, but is this new yellow glass UV filtered?

Can someone please help me figure out what to do..
My first print on the anycubic came out perfect. The second item was warped. After that everything I tried got stuck on the fep. I cleaned everything with ipa after everything I did. I recalibrated the plate also every time after it did not lift the resin from the fep. I even renewed the fep thinking that could be the case. But again this is the result. I used the normal resin that was with the anycubic so I also used the normal settings. This item is a simple vase. With support and tilted 40%. Is something wrong with the plate?

I am hearing that water with soap can clean resin off parts. I once tried water on its own and it did nothing.

Has anyone had success with warm / hot water and detergent? If it worked it would save a lot of alcohol. My ultrasonic is 10 gallons and would love to directly fill it.

Huge props to this awesome community! So much information/helpful smart people. Not sure I would of taken plunge with this machine had it not been for this group. I just started using monocure rapid grey at .02 and trying to determine if this is a good spot. Which looks better 11s or 10s?

I can’t see a difference in quality but using 11s and 8 base layers I had 100% success rate compared to 5 layers I lost 20% from build plate and had some delaminate/separate and stick to fep halfway thru losing partial prints. Wondering if I should go up to 12 or call it good here.

But I must say I am super happy with rocket pig games miniatures. Most of them are all supportless and have turned out 100% amazing. By far the easiest miniatures I have ever printed and with great detail. Pardon the poor painting.

Ok on FDM printers the z axis is limited to the smallest microstep of the motor. The lead screw looks to be 0.5mm/rev. The motor will be stepped in fractions of a turn. This can limit the resolution due to quantization error.

For example if the microstep is 1/32 of a turn and one turn is 0.5mm so the min step is actually 0.015625 and all steps must be a multiple of this. (Nb this is an example! )

Does the photon have the same limit? What is the minimum step on the motor?
