OK, I'm confused about drain holes and suction.

I printed this deer hollow with no drain holes and had no issues. (See deer on build plate)

Then I added drain holes in the bottom of each foot and had weird "flaps" open up on the back and had gaps in some areas and a huge hole in the belly.

There were NO changes in exposure or timing. Elegoo White at 10 seconds on, 5 seconds off 0.05mm layers.
Wall thickness is 1mm, model hollowed in ChituBox.

Any advice on that odd behavior?

If you're a serious model builder and you can work in 3D programming then I completely recommend the Photon resin printer I'm working on a project for another member and he needed these accurate barrels and shells. And while you can print these on a filament printer they're not going to come out as exact as these are.

I just picked up a Photon and was going through the assembly steps. I'm wondering if this differs from others.

My resin vat already had a screen in it, though it had a couple punctures. I figured this meant that it may have just been a placeholder plastic for shipping, or just a small issue. I went to go replace the film but once I removed the frame from the vat, I found that there are actually small chunks of cured clear green resin in the corners of the screen. Is this normal?

The unit and packaging otherwise seems new (the FEP envelope is sealed for example), but now I'm concerned that it might be used or even defective.

So, that's the second print that come out like this, nothing on the build plate and a 3-4mm slab of resin on the fep. Plate re-leveld (paper Can Be dragged but not pushed), file re-sliced and checked with the validator but still no luck and same result. What could be wrong? The resin has been sitting in the vat for about 2weeks at 0c° to 6c° depending on the day, on a room with no windows. Printing temperature around 2 to -1c°. Layer thickness 0.05mm, normal exposure 10s, off time 1s, bottom exposure 55s, Bottom layers
8, resin Green from anycubic (the stock One that come with the printer). Does the resin go bad when kept out of the bottle for too long? Do
temperatures matter?

Ok.. came out well, done this lithophane from thingiverse. Done with Monocure Rapid White and black and blue dye pigments. I think i will lit a fire in my fireplace and redo the pic tonight
