Can anyone tell me if the vent fan comes on when powered up, or when printing?

I have yet to actually start a print, but my fan DOESN’T come on when powering up.

I’m wondering if I spliced it bad when I installed my vent mod.

Print number 3 of this little witch failed. Same error: M 11820. This time at 94% instead of 95%.

I now flashed the factory installed firmware of my Photon to 4.2.18 as I read that might help with memory errors.
I also grabbed yet another USB stick just to make sure.

See you guys in 5+ hours. ?

Another newbie question:

While printing, it seems like the last layer that it printed is getting stuck to the vat film. So when it retracts in Z, I hear a sound similar to something you would hear while peeling off a sticker. Is that normal?

Hi all, thanks for having me. My name is Marc and i live in the Netherlands. I am a semi-professional movie/tv/game propmaker.

Last year i bought a lasercutter to make my work easier and always wanted my own 3D printer. After looking around, the Photon seemed like a good choice to start with, especially with a twin z-axis rail upgrade.

I just ordered my Photon this afternoon and should receive it in the coming week. Excited to start working with it.
