Loving this AnuyCubic Photon printer! Here we have 1:64 scale turkeys, for scale reference they are sitting on 5 square per inch graph paper. Also loving the Hero resin! Tried printing these in AnyCubic Gray and I broke the legs off while trying to remove supports - to brittle. With the Hero resin there was enough flex to remove the supports without breaking the legs! YAY! And being able to print in brown reduces painting! Another YAY!

BTW - we design and print people too. It's just everyone shares their figures so I'm going with animals and birds! LOL

So questions for the hive mind.

What is the preferred resin ?
I see eleggo is common. Is it better than anycubic no some way ?

How do you feel about mixing resins in the same group ? I have been mixing anycubic resins to custom colors and so far it has worked out.

Hey, i just got my Photon and after first print i ran out of Isopropyl Alcohol. I had to order it but it's gonna take a while. Can i use this stove ethanol called Sinol instead?
It's sold here at every gas station and it's cheap.

It contains 90-100% ethanol, 1-5% isopropyl alcohol, 2% methyl isobutyl ketone and 2% butanone.

I'm wondering if that 2% of butanone is going to dissolve the resin and fep because it is a plastic welding agent. :/

So I had to change out my fep and then had some leveling problems. After getting leveling fixed I get this print using Anycube UV Grey Resin. I’m short the faces aren’t great and it is missing a ton of detail. Thanks in advance!

I'm working in a room with day light, but not direct sun. How sensitive is the resin?
If I'll run a print over night and will come after sunrise will it be ok?
Does the orange filter is good enough?

Noob. Fighting with first prints. Supports failed at a certain moment and detached from the model. Half ring was printed fine. Any suggestion? Too low support density? Used medium supports. Used 9 sec for common layers exposure. 2 sec off.
